Cookie policy

Last updated: 17 May 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Relait uses, why we use them, and how you can manage them. When using the platform, you can accept or reject cookies that are not strictly necessary at any time from the cookie banner.

1. Data controller

The controller responsible for processing associated with cookies and similar technologies on Relait is Rent-O Software LLC, registered at 111 NE 1st St, 8th Floor Suite #88886, Miami, Florida 33132, United States.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website downloads to your device to store and retrieve information about your browsing. We also use similar technologies, such as browser local storage, for equivalent purposes.

3. Cookies and similar technologies we use

Strictly necessary technologies

These allow the platform to perform basic functions, such as signing in, keeping your session active, or remembering your consent preferences. Without them, the service cannot work properly, and they do not require consent.

  • cookie-consent (local storage, Relait): stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. It remains until you change your preference or delete browser data.
  • Firebase Authentication browser storage (IndexedDB or local storage, Firebase): keeps your sign-in session active and identifies your authenticated session. It remains while your session is active, until you sign out, or until browser data is deleted.

Analytics cookies

These help us understand in aggregate how Relait is used, which sections are most relevant, and what technical issues may exist. They are only activated if you accept them in the cookie banner. We use providers such as Firebase Analytics for this purpose.

  • _ga (cookie, Google Analytics for Firebase): used to distinguish one visitor from another and produce aggregated usage statistics. It is only set if you accept analytics cookies and usually lasts up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<measurement-id> (cookie, Google Analytics for Firebase): used to persist session state for the Firebase Analytics property. It is only set if you accept analytics cookies and usually lasts up to 2 years.

Third-party cookies

Some providers we use to host or distribute content, or to process payments, may set their own cookies. These third parties are responsible for their respective privacy and cookie policies.

4. Managing your preferences

The first time you access the platform, you will see a banner where you can accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your decision at any time from your browser settings by deleting stored cookies, or, where available, from the platform itself.

5. Consequences of rejecting cookies

If you reject analytics cookies, you can continue using Relait normally. We will simply stop measuring aggregated usage data that helps us improve the service.

6. More information

For more details about how we process personal data, see our privacy policy. If you have any questions about the use of cookies, write to support@relait.co.uk.
