At Relait, we take the privacy of the people who use the platform very seriously. This policy explains what data we process, why we process it, how long we keep it, and what rights you can exercise at any time.

2. Data we process
We only process the data needed to provide the service. This may include:
- Identification and contact data: first name, last name, email address, and, optionally, profile photo.
- Professional data: work experience, education, skills, and any information you add to your CV or public profile.
- Reviews and feedback received from or given to people you have worked with.
- Technical data derived from use of the service: device identifier, IP address, activity logs, and usage metrics.
- Payment data, handled by certified external providers when you purchase a paid plan.
3. Purposes of processing
- Create and maintain your account and professional profile.
- Allow you to request, receive, and display reviews from people you have worked with.
- Generate AI-based features, such as automatic CV structuring, using the information you provide.
- Respond to support requests, questions, and incidents.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and prevent fraudulent use of the service.
- Improve the service through aggregated metrics and, if you accept them, analytics tools.
4. Legal basis
We process your data based on the performance of the contract you accept when registering, the consent you give us for specific purposes such as analytics cookies, and compliance with legal obligations that apply to us.
5. Data recipients
We do not sell your data. We only share it with providers that help us deliver the service, such as hosting, infrastructure, analytics, payments, and email providers, always under data processing agreements that comply with applicable regulations.
6. CV processing with OpenAI
To help you complete your professional profile, we offer the option to upload a CV. The content of the file is sent to the OpenAI API solely to extract and structure the professional information (experience, education, skills) that will appear in your profile. OpenAI acts as a data processor in this flow.
- Data sent: the text and information contained in the CV you upload.
- Purpose: automatically structure professional data for your Relait profile.
- Retention by OpenAI:under OpenAI's data processing agreement, data sent through the API is not used to train its models and is retained for a limited period only for abuse prevention and compliance purposes.
- Your control: you can delete the stored CV and the extracted data at any time from your account settings or by requesting it at support@relait.co.uk.
If you prefer not to share your CV with OpenAI, you can complete your profile manually without using this feature. You can find additional information about OpenAI's data processing in its privacy policy.
7. International transfers
Some providers may be located outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
8. Retention periods
We keep your data while your account remains active. If you decide to delete it, the associated data will be deleted or anonymized, except for data we must keep to comply with legal obligations or to defend against potential claims.
9. Your rights
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection, restriction, and portability at any time by contacting support@relait.co.uk. If you believe we have not handled your request correctly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
10. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. No platform can guarantee absolute security, but we work continuously to reduce risks.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect service improvements or regulatory changes. We will notify you of material changes through the platform or by email.
